In Minecraft, players can ride many different kinds of animals. These are the most interesting creatures.
Part of the fun of Minecraft is that you can go exploring. There are so many biomes to visit, different materials to gather, and a number of possible goals to reach. This could mean that the player has to move a lot, which is why getting mounts is so important.
There are many animals in Minecraft that players can ride, whether or not they can be managed with a saddle. Even though each mount can do some of the same things as the others, they all have their own features that make them at least somewhat useful to the player.
Llama
Llamas, which were added in version 1.11, are one of the few mounts that can also attack a player if that player decides to be hostile toward the animal. Still, llamas have some uses, even though you can’t ride on one and move it around.
Llamas live mostly in Savanna biomes, and most of the time on hills. Players can tame them by trying to ride them over and over again. Once tamed, they can wear a carpet and store things in a box. Players can store up to 15 items on a llama, depending on how strong the llama is.
Pig
Pigs have been around longer than any other mob. Before horses were added to Doodle Baseball, they were also the only animals that players could ride. The thought of riding a pig has changed over time, which is good.
Pigs have been able to wear saddles for a long time, which lets players ride on top of them. But in the past, people couldn’t control pigs while they were on them. When the Carrot on a Stick was added, that changed. Now, players can point a pig in a certain direction and have it always move toward the carrot.
Strider
It can be hard to get around the Overworld, but things get a lot harder when you go into the Nether. In Minecraft, the hell dimension has a lot of rough terrain, which is made worse by big pools of lava that can be hard to cross.
The Nether has very few peaceful mobs, but Striders are one of them. When a Strider has a seat, it can be ridden, and a Warped Fungus on a Stick can be used to control which way it goes. The only bad thing about Striders is that they can only walk properly on lava. If they are not on lava, they will start to shiver.
Camel
Camels are one of the newest things added to Minecraft. They are fun mounts that mostly spawn in deserts, especially in towns. They are special because they usually spawn in the middle of a village and don’t come back after being killed. This makes them quite valuable when you get them.
Even though camels move slowly, they are very tall, which lets players escape being hit by hostile mobs on the ground. Also, two people can ride a camel at the same time, which is great for multiplayer sites and people who only want to deal with one mount.
Donkey
Even though donkeys might not seem like a good choice at first, they are fun to have because, like llamas, they can carry things for the person. But donkeys are better because they can be moved around like a normal horse, even though they aren’t as fast.
Once a donkey is trained, both a saddle and a chest can be put on it. The chest lets players put up to 15 items on the donkey without having to do anything. Every donkey is about the same speed and jump height, so you don’t have to breed a lot of them to get a better one.
Horse
Even though the saddle has been in Minecraft for a long time, horses didn’t come until 2013. These creatures can appear in many different colors and patterns, and each horse has a different mix of how fast it runs and how high it jumps. Players can spend time raising horses to get the best stats for both speed and stamina.
No matter how fast they are, horses are usually much faster than people. This lets players move quickly across the landscape, especially in flatter places where horses can easily jump over one-block barriers. Most of the time, these animals live in flat areas like fields and savannas.
Mule
You can breed donkeys and horses, which lets you get and train the rather rare Mules. They look like donkeys, but their fur is brown, and they can move much faster than donkeys because they have some horse traits.
Mules can be trained to run almost as fast as Minecraft’s fastest horses. This helps if their mother or father is also a horse that can run very fast and jump to crazy heights. Mules are almost as useful as horses, and if they have a chest, they can carry up to 15 things.
